Journey – Taklakot to Taklakot

Today also we had to rest due to heavy snowfall in Darchen and other areas. We took complete rest and did shopping in Taklakot. It is a good place to shop sweaters and thermal wears. But the price the merchants quote is 4 to 5 times of the original price. Therefore, you have to bargain hard with them. Moreover, due to language problem, they will quote the price of the goods by entering into the calculator and you can enter your price. If they are okay with your offer, they will accept; otherwise they will quote revised price.

We went to Kojarnath Temple with our Chinese guide. This temple is where you find Rama, Sita and Laxmana in the Bhuddhist attire and nearby Buddha temple. This is classic example of two religion coming together Hindu and Buddha. We took photos and visited the temple. We bought some gift articles.
